As a freelance artist, I often receive inquiries from clients regarding their ideas and keyboards, pricing or the process of booking a consultation. To help address these situations, I have compiled a list of frequently asked questions. If you have any additional inquiries, please don't hesitate to reach out to me with the Contact information below!
Do not forget to read the Terms of Service down below.
What is the price range for a custom keyboard?
Depending on what board, modifications, plate, switches, and keycaps you choose greatly affects the range of the keyboard price. I can do budget/experimental builds that cost less than the average keyboard price listed above. All boards have a minimum of a $100 USD labor fee.
How long is the waiting period?
Timeline for how long it takes to make the keyboard currently takes is a month to a month and a half. This is dependent on how long it takes for the manufacturer to send out the products, the holiday season, and the client putting down the initial deposit. Depending on the queue and time of year, this is subject to change.
Can you make custom designs/parts for my commission?
I DO NOT MAKE CUSTOM KEYCAPS OR KEYBOARDS. I do not design keycaps or specific designs. I take pre existing parts from different manufacturers/companies and help my clients design a keyboard from there and assemble it.
What about maintenance?
I offer maintenance for all of my commissions! Please be aware that you must pay for the shipping and handling/all replacement parts if you wish to change or fix any problems that may occur.
I have no idea what kind of board I want. What should I do?
Don't worry, there is a consultation for a reason! The consultation breaks down what kind of boards and materials are used for which purpose. This is also the time to organize a theme/color scheme for the board with my assistance!
What are some recommended brands?
Osume keycaps are the ones I recommend the most for their affordable price point and quality. My favorite switches to work on are Dangkeebs.
